What do I have to do to add a new rental unit?

A.  If you already have an account then login to your advertiser's area an press the 'Add a new rental unit' button. If you do not have an account yet, then:

- Click the advertise link above to create an account. You will need to decide a username and password, and provide your contact details.
- Once you have created an account you will be be taken your personal area. From here you can add add your rental units by pressing the 'Add a new rental property' button and following the instructions.
- Once you have finished entering all of the required information for the rental unit it will be passed to our support staff for approval which should take no more than one working day.

Q. What are the details of the free advertising offer?

A.  Investing in an advertisement on renting-abroad.com is excellent value for money, and for this reason we are offering a no obligation trial period of three months to give owners an opportunity to witness the results generated for themselves. Click the advertise menu button above to create an account from where you can add your free trial advertisement.
Q. Does the free trial apply to additional rental units?

A.  Yes. There is no charge for additional rental units during the free trial period.
Q. How much will it cost to advertise?

A.  Following any free trial period, advertisers will be given the option of placing an annual advertisement for £50 for the first property and £25 for each subsequent property.

Q. How do I add the descriptive text/availability/pricing for my property?

A.  When you create a property you will be taken to a screen where you will be able to enter all of the details for your property. The layout of this screen mirrors the layout of your actual advertisement so that you can immediately see how your live advertisement will look. You will find a button for each of the sections for which you can enter information, e.g. the 'Change property details' button takes you to a screen where you can up to seven paragraphs of detailed descriptive text and the 'Change 12 month availability' button takes you to a screen where you can enter the booked/unavailable dates for you property.
Q. Can I send you text and/or a webpage for you to take the information for the advertisement?

A.   No - at this time we do not provide a premium service to create and/or maintain advertisements on our advertiser's behalf. Instead we have designed renting-abroad.com in our view as easy as possible for owners to add and maintain the details of advertisments themselves.

Q. How many photographs am I allowed for each rental unit?

A.  You can send up to a maximum of six photographs per rental unit.
Q. How do I send photographs for my order?

A.  Please send photographs to us by replying to your order confirmation mail indicating which photograph you wish to be returned by a search result.

Each photograph must be at least 296 pixels wide and 200 pixels high, and saved as a .JPEG with the quality option set to 'high' when saving.
Q. I have been waiting for more than a day to see my advert - what is happening?

A.  Please check that you have submitted the minimum information needed to process your order. You must provide a short property description to be returned by a search result, a longer summary of your property for the main advert and also your contact details. Once this information is received, your advert will join the queue to be checked by our support staff before being set live.

You can check the status of all of your rental units by logging in to your advertisers area.
Q. What affects the ranking of my property in search results?

A.  The ranking of properties returned by a search depends on the last time the availability of the unit was brought up to date. To ensure that your rental unit maintains a high rank then you must regularly update its availability.
