This property is set in 9 acres of gardens and grounds in a quiet hamlet of 5 houses. It is only 1.5kms from shops and facilities at Montcaret and surrounded by vineyards. Wine tasting can be arranged with nearby vineyards. The cottage has all the comforts of home and is very well equipped. The 16 x 14m swimming pool has a safe shallow end. Hot Tub for 2007! The pool is shared with any bed and breakfast guests that may be staying in the main farmhouse but this is a maximum of 4 others. Generally the pool is used exclusively by La Vigne guests. The gardens have fruit trees, which guests are welcome to pick fruit from. There is badminton, table-tennis, swings, and a is a tree house. ADSL Internet access via Wifi.

Why not take the train to Bordeaux for the day. This beautiful city has just had a face- lift and is now easy to get around on the new tram system.

Bay of Arcachon
Visit the famous Dune de Pilat at the bay of Arcachon - highest sand dune in Europe! Arcachon is also the home of the local oysters and mussel beds.

General Area
The area is a food and wine lovers area. As well as regional dishes such as truffles, foie gras and duck it is renowned for it's seafood. We are in the middle of 2 wine regions the Bordeaux and the Bergerac, so the possibilities are endless. The UNESCO World Heritage town of St Emilion is only 20 minutes away by car, or you can take the train.
