What to do
Molieres is on the border of Lot and the Dordogne. Gourdon, just 5 minutes away is a medieval delight with all kinds of amenities, shops, supermarkets, a weekly farmers market and a cinema. Of course there are plenty of restaurants and bars too. Even nearer to Molieres are the lakes "Ecoute s'il Pleut" for swimming, boating and fishing. The name means "listen if it rains" originating from a mill only operated when it rained enough to swell the river. There is another lake at Grolejac, towards Sarlat, just before the river Dordogne where you can fish, swim, canoe and windsurf. There is history in abundance all around. Mountain biking, walking, canoeing, parascending for the more adventurous as well as the opportunity to potter around the local lanes enjoying the pace of life in rural France.

What to see
There are so many places easily visited from Molieres that to name Sarlat, Domme, Rocamadour, Grottes de Cougnac, Les Eyzies, St Cirq La Popie and Beynac is to name but a few. Perhaps a gentle potter around the quiet lanes on a bike appeals but of course pure relaxation and sitting still in the sun is also possible! Payrignac, a village just 5 minutes away has a lakeside restaurant, recommended by the locals too, tennis courts or you can sit and ponder, fishing in the lake.

Living
The kitchen area is well appointed with a gas cooker, a large fridge with small freezer, a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. There are lots of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and of course, glasses! The living and dining room will comfortably accommodate eight people with a large dining table and chairs. There are three settees, a television with all British Free-to-Air channels and a video with a comprehensive selection of video tapes. There is a radio and CD player, books, games and lots of information and maps about the surrounding area. The oak staircase leads to three bedrooms built into the eaves. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 two single beds leading to bedroom 3 which has bunk beds. There is a cot if required and one of the settees is a double sofa-bed.The bathroom leads to the walk-in shower. The toilet is separate. The washing machine is in the bathroom.

Outside
When the sun shines a wander through the french doors will lead onto the walled garden. There is garden furniture to seat eight, a gas barbeque and outdoor games including badminton and Boules!
