This is a pretty little cottage with a garden. Two linked rooms make the lounge/dining room. There is a small sofa, together with two comfortable armchairs, low table and bookcase, dining table and 4 chairs. (Sufficient space is available for a child?s bed to be installed.) The kitchen is fully fitted with 2 hobs, small oven and a microwave oven, 'fridge, worktop and sink. The bedroom has one double bed with a chest of drawers, two bedside tables, together with a hanging clothes rail, and has an ensuite shower with wash basin and the washing machine. Outside at the rear of the cottage is a small fenced garden with table and 4 chairs under a large parasol on the terrace and small lawn with trees and shrubs.

Facilites
There is a welcome pack consisting of bread, butter, eggs, cheese, fruit, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and a bottle of wine to welcome you on arrival and get you through the first evening. Bed linen and towels for showering, plus tea towels. Linen will be changed once a week, if staying for a fortnight.

Area
There is so much to do and see in this wonderful part of France that it is difficult to itemise everything. Our home is named after Saint Amadour who is buried in the second most visited site in France, Rocamadour which is 20 km away. Rocamadour means ?lover of rocks? as well. This makes a spectacular drive and you can visit the pilgrimage site which clings to the side of the rock, a must for photographers. Arrive early in the morning and perhaps enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants which afford wonderful views of the area.

Markets
Try and see Sarlat early on Wednesday or Saturday morning for the famous market. Or the market in Figeac also on Saturdays. There is another good market on Sunday mornings at St Cyprien. The Gourdon market takes place on Saturday mornings. Cahors holds its markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and you can just wander around watching everyone buying their weekly produce and stop for a coffee at one of the many cafes, or sample some of the well renowned Cahors wine in Les Halles in the centre of the marketplace.
