The four bedroom house sleeps 8-10. There is a balcony, large garden, kitchen,
living room with a fire place, with plenty of seating, bathroom and an additional
toilet. From the south facing balcony, enjoy the stunning views in the morning
having your breakfast or in the evening enjoying your barbeque or your favourite
aperitif. When the sun has set over the mountains enjoy the rest of the evening in
front of the large open fire place. The forest trails from the house is an excellent
opportunity to enjoy the mountain views, waterfalls and wildlife. The active mountains
have numerous walks, bike trails, skiing & paragliding sites. Luchon (5mins) has a
cable car, thermal baths, gliding, an airport & so much more.

So much to do
The nearest town is Luchon (5 mins) enriched with restaurants, bars, night clubs, cinema, casino, shops and so much more. You can take the cable car from Luchon to the nearest ski resort Superbagnères, up to 1800 meters available throughout the year (the cable car is the highest in the pyrenees). If it is relaxation you want from your holiday how about pampering yourself at the thermal baths, or enjoying the many local facilities such as swimming, tennis, horse riding, climbing, golfing and fishing. You can even stay at the house and gaze out all day over some of the highest peaks in the Pyrénées and enjoy the sights of gliders, paragliders or birds of prey. An excellent activity based holiday
The forest trails from the house lead on to numerous walks in the area for those searching for a leisurely stroll to a hike in the mountains. You can even walk over the border into Spain. The walks include the GR10 and La Passejade. La Passejade is a long (signposted) country hiking trail of 450km linking 31 communities of the Luchon area, at an average altitude of 1500 m. A walk on this trail will allow you to discover the beautiful Pyrenean mountain villages. The numerous off road mountain biking trails are available for a leisurely cycle outing to those who are seeking adrenalin rush from the heart stopping descents and heart thumping climbs or maybe you would like to try the descents on an off-road scooter Arapaho. If it is road biking you are interested in why not follow the 15th stage (which went through Luchon & the area).

Other activities & places to visit
If it water sports you are interested in there are many places to go kayaking, rafting and canoeing on the Garonne River. A few other local destinations include the valleys of Larboust and Oô, Vallée d?Oueil, Superbagnéres, Hospice de France, Vallée du Lys all offer magnificent veiws from the valleys to the mountains. Within 30 minutes you can reach the border of Spain whether it is a change of culture or the opportunity to purchase cheaper alchool and tobacco. The nearest Spanish towns are Bossost, Les and Vielha. The Pic D'Aneto the highest peak of the Pyrenees at over 3400m is also closeby. Within an hour or two you can reach Lourdes, St Gaudens, Tarbes, Pau, Toulouse, and Carcassonne. Within a four hour drive you can reach Andorra for your duty-free shopping.

SKIING & other winter sports
In the winter there is skiing (alpine and nordic), snowboarding, snowshoeing and sledging. Superbagnères ski resort is the nearest (which has been open for over 100 years!) and close by is the Peyragudes. There are many good schools for skiing, snowboarding and places for renting equipment. There is also paragliding to be enjoyed here all year around. Additional Information
The house is double-glazed so is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Besides the large open fire place there is a wood burner and electric heating in every room. The living /dining room /kitchen is open-plan. The fenced garden is half an acre. The balcony has wired fencing & a gate to make it child & animal friendly. Within an hour and 40 minutes you can reach either Pau or Toulouse Airport. There are numerous cheap airlines available including Ryanair or Easyjet.
