Chardonnay Cottage is set in the courtyard of the château amid large private
gardens. Originally the lodgings of vineyard labourers, it is spacious and airy,
with views over the surrounding fields of vines. This two-storey cottage has been
tastefully renovated but has retained all of its original charm with exposed stone
walls, oak beams and wood burning stove, with added modern amenities such as
dishwasher, washing machine, satellite t.v, DVD/video player,phone and internet
access. It has three bedrooms to accommodate up to 6 guests in comfort (with 2
more on a mezzanine). We offer safe parking within the courtyard and the

Entering the cottage, there is a fully equipped kitchen with all modern features. In the dining area, eight can sit at a wooden dining table, while the large living room has two comfortable armchairs and a large sofa, a television with satellite channels, a DVD/CD player, and a stereo. There is also a telephone in the living area and a fast internet line. The first of the three bedrooms is also on the ground floor, and has a double bed, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. An ensuite shower room and toilet are next to the bedroom.

The master bedroom Upstairs are the other two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed while the second has a pair of single beds. Each of these bedrooms also has a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is another shower room with a toilet and sink on this floor. A mezzanine area has a sofa bed which can sleep an extra two guests if necessary, as well as a second TV and VCR. The mezzanine is an ideal play area for children, or just for relaxing.

Guests can enjoy the large private gardens of the Château, and dine outside in the courtyard on the teak garden furniture. There is a BBQ for guests use and secure off- road and garage parking are available.

We have a resident chef in the main chateau who is happy to cook freshly prepared meals, either regional or to cater to your needs. A very popular option is the 'meal on arrival' where Wills cooks a 4 course meal including wine for 20.00 euros a head. Children's meals are catered at 10.00 euros per child. Simpler 1 or 2 course dinners in the week can be arranged also.

There are abundant activities close by. Just a few are shown as follows; 120km voie vert - off road cycle path - can be joined five minutes away at Buxy. Bikes can be hired also in Buxy. Lacs des Laives - beautiful swimming lakes with beach, paddle boats and restaurants. 11 kms away - 15 mins. drive. There are also 2 fishing lakes here. Swimming Pools - at Tournus - 25 mins. drive away Aqua Parc - Dijon - 1 hour drive away Acro Parc - Adventure fun in a forest for adults and children Horse riding - Messey sur Grosne - 15 minutes drive Numerous chateaux, wine tastings (degustations) and markets in the surrounding villages A variety of restaurants in the surrounding villages and towns Abundant ancient buildings, churches and museums
