As you enter the cottage, the open plan room has a fully equipped kitchen on the left with the dining area in the centre and lounge on the right. The phone and internet lines are here. Also the satellite t.v./DVD/CD player are adjacent the double sofa bed. An open fire and central heating offer additional comfort during the cooler months throughout your stay.

There are abundant activities close by. Just a few are shown as follows; 120km voie vert - off road cycle path - can be joined five minutes away at Buxy. Bikes can be hired also in Buxy. Lacs des Laives - beautiful swimming lakes with beach, paddle boats, picnic area and restaurant. 11 kms away (15 mins drive). There are also 2 fishing lakes here. Swimming Pools - at Tournus - (25 mins drive). Aqua Parc, Dijon (1 hour drive away). Acro Parc -Adventure fun in a forest for adults and children at Givry (40 mins drive). Horse riding - Messey sur Grosne (15 minutes drive). Numerous chateaux, wine tastings (degustations) museums and markets in the surrounding villages and towns. Every weekend during summer there are brocantes (antique fairs), puces (flea markets) and craft fairs in the surrounding villages also.

We have a resident chef in the main chateau who is happy to cook freshly prepared meals, either regional or to cater to your needs. A very popular option is the 'meal on arrival' where Wills cooks a 4 course meal including wine for 25.00 euros a head. Children's meals are catered at 10.00 euros per child. Simpler 1 or 2 course dinners in the week can be arranged also.

This is an ideal area to visit for anyone who enjoys wine. Our main grapes are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the village of Saint-Vallerin there are two caves, where one can taste and purchase locally produced wines. There are pleasant walking trails through the surrounding countryside, and also a cycle path - the Voie Vert which offers safe off-road cycling for 120 kilometres. Bicycles can be hired from two locations in Buxy. The nearby village of Buxy has a good range of shops and services including doctors, dentists, vets, hairdressers, pharmacies, supermarkets and gas stations, and within a short drive, there are numerous bars, restaurants, villages and market towns, steeped in history with interesting architecture.
