La Garenne is a spacious detached house set in secluded gardens half a mile from the
beautiful medieval town of Malestroit with its old square of half timbered houses,
ancient bridges, and the Nantes-Brest Canal running through the centre. The beautiful
inland sea of the Golf of Morbihan with is many lovely sandy beaches is within 20 minutes
drive, and there are many other places of interest nearby to visit including the
medieval towns of Vannes and Auray.

Rental rates are weekly and include all bed linen but not towels. Our terms are 25% deposit with booking and the balance and security deposit payable six weeks prior to arrival.

This character house offers five bedrooms, three double rooms, one twin room and one large family room. Three bathrooms, two WCs, large beamed lounge with woodburning stove, separate well equipped kitchen and magnificent 10m x 4m conservatory offering a superb place to eat and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The private heated swimming pool (approx. 6 m x 4m) is set in the terrace of the garden and is surrounded by a decking area ideal for sunbathing.

The beautiful town of Malestroit is within easy walking distance of the house. The town is set on the banks of the River Oust and the Nantes-Brest Canal. It is classified as a ?Petite Cité de Caractère au bord de la rivèré. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the Town Square. In summer time the old square is full of tables and chairs from the surrounding bars and restaurants ? it is a fabulous place for people watching and safe for children. During July and August there are plenty of local festivals and every Friday night there is always a local Breton group playing in the square.

Morbihan, Southern Brittany ? An enchanting region anytime of the year for walking, cycling, fishing, relaxing or exploring. The beautiful inland sea of the Golf of Morbihan with its pretty bays, enormous choice of lovely beaches, and many places of interest, including the medieval towns of Vannes and Auray, are all within easy reach. Shopping For day to day shopping there are two supermarkets in Malestroit, one of which opens Sunday morning. The local markets are not to be missed, the biggest one being at Questembert every Monday held in the medieval covered market square. Market day in Malestroit is Thursday morning.
