This four bedroom house sleeps 6 to 10, was renovated in 2002 with modern comforts, yet
retaining it's authentic charm. Set in a charming hamlet approximately 24 km northwest
of Cahors....grand prize winner of the 'ville fleurie' competition in 2004. From here,
it's an easy drive to visit castles and vineyards, caves with prehistoric drawings,
medieval villages such as Rocamadour, cruises on the Lot river. Nearby there is horse
riding, mountain biking, numerous walking trails... The 4 X 8m pool is fenced and has a
security alarm; is cleaned and maintained daily. All bed linens are provided, as well
as kitchen towels and bath mats. Bath towels can be provided with notice, just be sure
to bring a towel for recreational use.

First Floor
You enter the house into the large central kitchen. Fully equipped with Refridgerator with freezer, gas stove with oven, microwave, long table with benches, and a cozy reading nook in front of the fireplace. Large master bedroom with double bed, side tables with lamps, armoire and closet for hanging clothes, fireplace. Second bedroom with double bed, tables and lamps, armoire. Spacious sitting/dining room with comfortable seating and table and chairs for dining. Covered terrasse accessible from the kitchen and dining room. Bathroom with shower, wc, basin and storage for toiletries. Door leading out to the back of the house towards the pool and covered loggia with bbq, sink, outdoor shower, tables and benches. Lounge chairs by the pool (8 x 4 m originally above-ground, now in-ground) which is fenced and equipped with an alarm.

Second Floor
At the top of the stairs, you'll find baby gates closing off the stairwell for the security of small children. Large central sitting area with comfortable seating, tv, dvd, and various books and literature about the region. One bedroom with double bed, antique baby bed, desk and chair, end table with lamp, armoire, area rugs. The second bedroom has an extra large antique single bed, and a standard single with end tables and lamps. Wc with toilet and basin, skylight, area rugs.

Exterior
Whether your preference is lounging around the pool, enjoying the peaceful calm of the countryside; or visiting vineyards, festivals, shops and markets...or both...this is the place for you! For nature lovers, a well marked walking trail starts at the bottom of the hill just down the road. There are 17 communities in the area that each have a mapped trail leading the vistor past fountains and 'gariotes', castles and 'laveries'.

Sports and Activities
The Lac Vert at Catus, is app 3 km from the house; where you can swim, rent paddleboats or kayaks, play tennis or basketball. A little bit further, and past the Danish royal family's castle and vineyard, there is the nautical center at Caix on the Lot river, where you can rent boats and kayaks, or take a dinner cruise. Parasailing is avalailable along the river at Douelle, horse riding in nearby Catus.
