La Cloutiere
La Cloutiere is situated in the countryside, just outside the small village of Ruille- Froid-Fonds, which has a restaurant and bar. Just 5 minutes further away is the small town of Meslay du Maine, with supermarkets, chemists, post office and banks. The larger towns of Chateau Gontier and Laval are a short drive away and offer an extensive array of shops, bars and restaurants.
|
The Mayenne Region
As part of the Pays de le Loire, the region is famed for it's chateaux, from the small and quaint to the large fairytale castles from bed-time stories. There are medieval villages, musuems, water parks, zoos, acrobatic "walks" through the forests suspended on wires!, boating, fishing, golfing, cycling - anything you want to do - it's here in Mayenne.
|
Further Afield
The Mayenne is ideally placed to explore the neighbouring regions. Take a day trip to Brittany and Mont St. Michel, or to the beach at St. Nazaire on the Atlantic coast, head to Tours, famed as having the best boutiques outside of Paris or south to the wine growing region of Anjou.
