This modern bungalow set in the Lot valley yet just five minutes away from the Dordogne

equipped kitchen, large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, lounge/dining room,
conservatroy. Outside sunbeds and garden furniture can be found along with an outdoor
barbecue. The pool 8x4 is fitted with an alarm system and the garden which is entirely
enclosed has a terrace and swings for children. The house is just outside the peaceful
village of Dégagnac surrounded by fields and country lanes. You can either relax by
the pool and enjoy the scenery or visit the many interesting sites nearby in the Lot or
the Dordogne.

The Local area
The village of Dégagnac is just 2 minutes by car from the house. There is a local shop, post office and auberge. For supermarkets and other shops, the medieval town of Gourdon is a 10 minute drive and you will find a large selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. Cahors, the capital of the Lot is 40 minutes away and its Valentré bridge attracts many tourists. Although set in the Lot, the Dordogne is five minutes away and the towns of Domme and Sarlat are just 30 minutes from the house. Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac are an hour away and they are always worth the visit.

Local Gastronomy and Wine
The Lot offers a wide variety of Cahors wine and a little further away are the wines of Bergerac. Dégagnac has a very good auberge where excellent value for money meals are served daily. In most of the nearby villages and towns there is wide selection of wonderful restaurants and auberges. The local cuisine is recommended and prices in the Lot are very reasonable. There are also many local markets where fresh produce can be bought and local specialities can be found too.

Activities
Once again there is a wide choice available. Fishing, canoeing, boating, walking, horse- riding, potholing and tennis are just some of the activities that are within easy reach.
